The history of CBD oil is exciting and intriguing. This article gives you an insight into the special history of CBD oil.

Cannabidiol’s roots (CBD) date back thousands of years to the end of the first ice age. Archaeological finds from the past have shown a connection to the source of the CBD plant. Cannabis sativa was probably one of the first crops to be planted by humans. Although cannabis like CBD is found in what we consider a modern phenomenon that has become increasingly popular in recent years, the plant is linked to the birth of agriculture 12,000 to 10,000 years ago.

Astronomer Carl Sagan, considered by many to be an icon of scientific credibility, has repeatedly developed theories that the hemp plant containing the CBD may have been one of the first crops to contribute to the development of the civilization known today. Looking back, at least there is no doubt that the hemp plant from which the CBD is derived has been integrated into humanity since the early years.

The hemp plant, as already mentioned, is a part of humanity and can be used in many different ways. Hemp seeds and cannabis oil, which we now know as CBD oil, were used in China 6000 years before the birth of Christ. There is also clear evidence that the hemp plant was reinstated in Asia two thousand years later, 4000 BC. It was later Europe’s turn to discover the quality of the hemp plants because the Vikings transported 850 hemp seeds back to Scandinavia. Because, people at that time took CBD in the form of hemp seeds. In the year 900 it was the Arabs’ turn to use the plant for the production of paper. The Italians later used the hemp plant for ropes.

Unlike today, there is skepticism about the hemp plant in general, inspite of the positive benefits of CBD. As long as the plant was processed correctly, the King of England introduced in 1533 that all farmers would be fined if they did not grow hemp plants for industrial use. Today the hemp plant is once again gaining widespread importance especially the health benefits that the hemp plant brings that has contributed to this development. The active ingredient CBD has become particularly popular. For example, the CBD helps against acne, diabetes, sclerosis, fibromyalgia, cancer, post-traumatic stress, epilepsy, schizophrenia and more.

Is CBD oil legal?

There are more than 120 different substances in a cannabis plant. If you look at it medically, THC and CBD are the two most important substances in the secreted and known plant. THC, which is the active ingredient in the plant, has an euphoric effect. It is the THC that makes the plant illegal. The active ingredient CBD, on the other hand, has no euphoric effect, which means that you do not get “high” from the CBD. In many European countries it is completely legal to use CBD oil as a medicine or just as a dietary supplement.

In Denmark and the rest of the EU, it is perfectly legal to sell cannabis oil that contains the active ingredient CBD, which has been determined, among other things, by EU trade law. Therefore, it is legal to produce CBD oil as long as it does not contain THC. The active ingredient CBD in the hemp plant is not only legal in Europe. In the United States, CBD oil is legal in 44 out of 50 states.

CBD oil and driving

Some talks are going around that using cannabis can get rid of your driver’s license. But does that mean you cannot have a license while using CBD oil?
You are allowed to drive a car if you use CBD oil. There is no danger with CBD oil, unless you use oils that contain the THC substance, you could lose your driver’s license as there are substances in THC oil that can cause a euphoric effect.
