Taking CBD oil: Cannabidiol (CBD) intake
There are usually many questions regarding the correct intake of CBD, how often to take it and many more questions.
What is CBD oil?
Cannabidiol is made from the hemp plant. It contains a lot of cannabidiol and very little to no THC. Anything above 0.2% THC is not for sale in many European countries. This means that you cannot get high or stoned from the oil.
The oil is used in humans and animals who suffer from a variety of complaints.
Correct intake of CBD:
The CBD oil is mostly taken in the form of drops. At best, you should let the oil melt under the tongue for about a minute before swallowing it. Part of the cannabidiol is said to be absorbed through the oral mucosa, which should have a faster effect than through the gastric mucosa.
But you don’t necessarily have to let it melt under the tongue, because some users find the flavor, the oil, at first quite uncomfortable.
If the taste is unbearable for you, you can dab the drops on a piece of bread and eat them.
The sequence of steps for using CBD oil
Step 1: Shake well!
The separation in hemp oil products is completely natural and to be as expected. Some bottles are invisible (which is good – dark bottles help block the light for optimal shelf life), but if possible, notice how the oil settles on the floor. This is a very important step. If you don’t shake it, you will probably end up consuming only grape seeds and coconut oil. It is not the tastiest experience and it will not be very beneficial for you.
Step 2: Squeeze the dropper cap
Squeeze the dropper cap to fill the pipette with oil and pour the oil under the tongue. You can buzz it around a bit, but most people may just let it sit (this way you avoid some of the hemp flavors). You can add as many drops as you need; You don’t have to limit yourself to the recommended serving size. Many people have noticed a slight sedative effect when taking larger amounts. This can be beneficial if you are having trouble sleeping, so consider taking the drops before going to sleep.
We recommend keeping the oil in your mouth for 60-90 seconds before swallowing it, so it is better absorbed by your body. If you find the taste too strong, take a drink (juice is best) while taking the oil to reduce this hemp-like aroma.
step 3: Repeat
Repeat all day if necessary. As mentioned above, hemp oil can be slightly soothing at higher amounts, or just soothing and relaxing at smaller portion sizes.
Results
CBD drops are used as a nutritional supplement that can support general well-being. The natural components interact with your endocannabinoid system.
How often should I take it?
To prevent an overdose of the CBD oil, you should start slowly, because the body has to get used to the new product slowly. The rule of thumb is that a maximum of 15 drops should be taken per day. That means 5 drops 3 times a day. However, everyone has to determine the right dose for themselves, because the effect varies from person to person. Sometimes it works faster, sometimes not. If it doesn’t work, you can increase the dosage.
How long should the CBD oil be taken?
There is no time limit for taking the CBD oil because there are currently no long-term side effects.
Under no circumstances should you consume oil during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Other ways of consuming CBD
If you do not like the taste of CBD oil, there are ways to consume cannabidiol, such as vaping it or taking capsules
